
Shopify theme update and improved user experience
Jasper Coffee has always been about more than just coffee. With a pioneering approach to fairtrade, organic and carbon-neutral sourcing, their cafĂŠs and online store carry the ethos of âExploration. Adventure. Obsession.â But their digital presence was showing its age. The Shopify site was slow, dated, and weighed down by an old subscription app that no longer matched the needs of the team or their customers.
Jasper Coffee wanted to refresh the site quickly, without diving into a full rebrand or heavy design processâwhile leaving the door open for a deeper creative review later. We proposed a lean, collaborative buildâdesigned to solve Jasperâs immediate pain points while setting the foundation for future growth.

Design
We applied fresh branding styles (adjusting colours, fonts and hierarchy) to modernise the look without a full design overhaul, while leveraging existing product imagery & a non-custom theme.
Page and navigation
Redesigned the site structure and rebuilt key templatesâhome, collection, product, and about usâto create a clear, intuitive journey with space for Jasperâs signature storytelling.
Subscription upgrade
Installed and tested a new subscription app, ensuring customers could easily manage flexible options while Jasper could set up new offers without code.

Refreshed the website with a non-custom theme update.

Updated navigation to drive conversion by organising by coffee types, brewing types or region.

Easier-to-manage subscription platform
The old system was clunky and hard to manage, making it difficult to offer the kind of flexibility coffee lovers expect.We upgraded Jasper to a modern subscription app, giving them the ability to:â¨
- Let customers subscribe to any coffee, at weekly, fortnightly or monthly intervals.
- Showcase a âRoasterâs Pickâ rotation for those who like to explore.
- Offer business bundles, such as 2kg/week with 20% off and free shipping.
- Provide customers with full control to pause, cancel, or resubscribe.
- Empower the team to set up new subscription options without extra code.


The refreshed structure also makes space to share the voices of growers, their sustainability credentials, and the brandâs long-standing commitment to fairtrade and carbon neutrality.
