Campaign design, social templates and digital learning resources

Visual design that backs First Nations storytellers and cultural learning

We partnered with Common Ground to elevate the design of their storytelling and education work, creating a cohesive suite of social media assets, campaign branding for NAIDOC, contributor guidelines, and digital learning resources. Our support focused on producing flexible social templates, accessible PDFs, and polished visual materials that help Common Ground amplify First Nations voices, strengthen the storytelling ecosystem, and drive deeper learning across communities. Grounded Story Grants: support First Nations creatives with funding and mentoring to develop storytelling projects around an annual theme. We created a distinctive visual direction drawn from contributor photography. The system echoes the theme Home, avoids literal imagery, and flexes across social assets, applicant packs and supporting templates.

NAIDOC Week Campaign: We designed a learning resource that brought the theme Keep the Fire Burning to life through a warm, textured visual approach centred on fire as a symbol of strength, continuity and community.

NAIDOC Week Campaign: We created a suite of social media carousels, developing a distinct visual direction beyond Common Ground’s usual brand style. The fire-centred design provided an engaging, cohesive way to share stories and spark cultural understanding across the week.

Highlights

Dreamy

We developed a high-fidelity visual design for the Common Ground “Dreamy” platform that elevated storytelling through an immersive and calm aesthetic. The design phase translated wireframes into polished webpages in Figma, applied the visual brand consistently, and structured layout and audio-story elements so storytellers and their narratives take centre stage. First Nations Bedtime Stories

“First Nations Bedtime Stories” is a weekly online festival of five short films that brings traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories into homes, schools and workplaces. It pairs the films with educational resources so families, early-childhood and primary-school educators can explore First Nations cultures safely and meaningfully. We helped to design the learning resource - an 18 page digital PDF.

Weaving Truths - Social Media: a cohesive set of tiles that visually express the spirit of Weaving Truths. The designs use warm tones, simple typography and culturally grounded visuals to introduce the themes, share key insights and invite audiences into the learning experience.

Weaving Truths - Learning Resource:  designed to support educators and students in engaging deeply with First Nations truth-telling through creative and critical thinking and learning. The design weaves colour, texture and storytelling to guide readers through the content with ease.

Contributor Guide: An onboarding resource for new storytellers -we designed the interactive PDF, creating a clear, accessible layout that supports contributors to understand the process and engage confidently in their work with Common Ground.
